Dubai is considered to be the beating heart of the United Arab Emirates and the business hub of the Middle East.  Remnants of its colonial past are evident in older parts of the city while modern buildings, shops and streets show off its contemporary spirit.  It's this dual personality that makes Dubai such a fascinating city to discover.
