London, England
We arrived safely and quickly into London with no traffic delays. The express bus worked extremely well and we would have no hesitation in using this service again. Also very easy to book online and you get sent electronic tickets to your phone... so very easy.
Our two days in Greenwich, London is dedicated to visiting family so we have no specific plans. Peter's main priority for the day is to find a pub that will broadcast the final game of the State of Origin. Unfortunately the time difference meant that the game will be played live while we are on the bus! Thankfully I found a pub in Greenwich that was replaying the game at 6.30pm.
We spent the afternoon settling in and me repacking my bag as we plan to leave some of our stuff here to lighten our load and we will pick it up before we fly home to Aus. Peter had fatherly chores to attend to which involved painting a chest of drawers for the nursery so he used the afternoon to sand and prepare for painting the following day.
There wasn't a lot of time left in the day before he set out to the pub for the most important thing in his life!! We joined him later in the evening for a burger and to watch the end of the game which was not worth seeing in my opinion!
Our second day has been spent at home.... Peter painting and me catching up on my blog and checking paperwork and the finer details for our travel to Copenhagen. A BBQ at home is the plan for dinner.
A beautiful sunny day in London.... a bit like our spring or autumn days at home!
We will have an early departure to the airport in the morning.... exciting times here because when we come back in a couple of weeks we should have a new grandchild to meet!!
Copenhagen our next stop.
Peter and his friends! No one else was watching the game and some negotiations had to take place with the manager.
Beautiful flowers in the park at Greenwich
